Here at Elce we are big fans of living life to the fullest – we believe in love, laughter, traveling the world, experiencing different cultures, eating well, and living a healthy life. We love summer months since everything is moved outdoors; the gardens, squares, restaurants, and beaches become full of life. All our designs are inspired by travels, hotels, and architecture in beautiful cities and nature across the Globe.
For those beautiful moments with family and friends, we have launched a collection of placemats. These have a durable cork backside and they are perfect for outdoor use. Easily wiped clean so that they are always fresh for a stylish dining experience.
You can these stylish placemats here.
I hope you enjoy our decor and all the fun things we have planned for you! Love, Tiina
We have been working on our Spring makeover fro our living space. The biggest change is that we will paint over our black walls. I am going to miss them though, I think they look so stylish! But, it’s time for a change and we decided to paint the walls with warm gray instead.
The furniture will remain the same, only textiles (surprise!?) will be removed. I’m going with a natural color scheme with lots of green plants, natural carpets, and all our blue cushions will be replaced with stone and sand colored ones.
Here is my concept board.
I use the same layout for the living area as we had before. It’s perfect for socializing; in our family, the TV is not central. Our kids have a TV room upstairs so they can play there and we can socialize. Of course, we do have Netflix nights here with the hubby.
I did remove a lot of color, mainly blue cushions (don’t worry, they will be back soon I guess) but I can’t remove my collection of blue and white jars and lamps. To me, that’s the ultimate style statement so I think I will never change these. I collect blue jars wherever I visit antique stores so all my jars have a high affection value.
I haven’t decided if we would keep the floating shelves we currently have at the back of the room. Something needs to be placed there to balance it out, but I’m unsure if we go with wall art.

I hope you enjoyed my virtual home tour, I will show you how everything looks like when we are done! Love, Tiina
Check out this video we made! We love styling spaces with blue and happily mix it with green and naturals this season. Enjoy! You can find these cushions here!
I get this question many times from our retailers – how to style a store display? I have some tips to share:
Remember that people use all senses when shopping. This means, don’t only focus on the visual – there are more senses that need to be served.
SOUND – play music that fits well into the spirit of your store. Know your target customer, if it’s a teenager then some trendy music will do it, however, if your customer base is women in their 40-50’s choose music that’s suitable for the ambiance of your store, and not too loud.
TOUCH – people love to touch everything so make sure your customers can touch the products you are selling. Have samples of lotions and creams, and a display system that’s easy to clean up after the customers have been there and touching everything. Also, create cozy corners and have cushions and blankets ready so that your customers can test and style different combinations of products.
SMELL – smell is considered to be a fast track to your brain part that controls both emotion and memory, two very prominent factors behind why we choose one brand and products over another. Use a scent in your store when possible. Also, let your customers smell products like candles and other products with perfume.
TASTE – if you’re selling interiors or fashion, maybe you can’t relate to this, but there are great benefits of serving something to your customers. Try serving something salty like snacks, of course, it’s even better if you have these items for purchase as well!
SIGHT – Yes I left it at the end, but obviously this is the most important. Your store needs to look good and feel good in order to attract customers and get them come back. Use colors, lighting, symmetry and balance to create a comfortable, beautiful and interesting atmosphere. If you’re in interiors (who isn’t??) 😉 you should focus on creating spaces and showing how to mix products to create beautiful cozy homes. For fashion stores the lighting is very important – you don’t want your customers to look pale and tired when they are trying out your clothes. You can also require that your staff wears the clothes you are selling! Group products that sell together.

Our new baby blankets are popular among new parents – who wouldn’t want to wrap their little ones in these softies?
The blankets are Oeko-Tex certified and contain no harmful chemicals, hence they are perfect for the sensitive baby skin.
Watercolors are always popular, especially when we are going into the light and sunny season (yes!!). One of our favorite colors is this grayish mint, we call it Celadon. It really is a gray color, but with green undertones! It’s popular color accent for the airy and sleek Scandinavian homes.
Celadon mixes great with many colors! Our favorites are pinks, the combination works well since the colors are complementary.
Other colors that mix well with celadon are blues (analogous scheme).

This Spring we are drooling over blue and green interiors, and in my opinion, this color palette is here to stay. Even Pantone chose green to be the color of the year, so we can expect to see much more of that during the coming warm months! Here’re my favorite pics for the green & blue look. Enjoy!
